With #OurVote, we are trying to make voting methods and information more accessible for voters. By compiling resources all into one place, we hope to make the voting process more straightforward.

Its important to vote so that the government reflects your views, such as if you wanted lower taxes vote for someone who promises that. Furthermore, every vote counts, in 1960 Richard Nixon would have become President if one person from each voting place had voted differently.
The 2 candiates for the 2020 general election are Joe Biden, the Democratic candidate and Donald Trump, the Republican candidate. So far, Joe Biden is leading in the nationa polls so far by 10%. Although Biden is leading in the popular votes, it's the electoal votes that really make the difference.
Congressional elections occur every two years. In fact, legislation is primarily made in congress so voting for memebers of congress is a way to directly select a representative that reflects your intrests. Local elections also present an oppurtunity for voters to elect candidates that will carry out policies that affect your day to day lives, which is why it's important to also vote in local election.
